Transmission Estimator
- Material Takeoffs – responsible for the transmission takeoffs for the estimate, including structure counts, conductor/shieldwire/fiber optic quantities, hardware and insulator quantities and identifying any demolition.
- Responsible for developing the subcontract and permanent material quotes required for the estimate. This included calls with utilities and other contractors to verify pricing and go through clarifications, exceptions.
- Project Support – provide technical assistance to other disciplines concerning transmission issues.
- Scope – ensure design satisfies RFP obligations and owner standards. Work with department manager to evaluate any value engineering concepts. Coordinate these value engineering concepts into the proposal.
- EPC Proposal Documentation – assist in preparing information/documentation for EPC bids including takeoffs, KMZ files with detailed transmission line routes, LCA and BAK files exported from PLS CADD, foundation tables.
