I did a lot of data collection on rare plants during the job. We would hike on BLM land that was getting ready to be auctioned off for logging. We would survey for rare plants and record how much of the species was growing in an area (which would put a halt on the logging). I also did butterfly surveys, fish surveys, and wildlife surveys.
