Associate Engineer: Product And Platform Development
CurrentI joined my client, a talented organization that provides Bed and Breakfast services, on their Transaction Risk team. In my role within Payments Risk and Fraud Mitigation domain, I managed and optimized several core services, including the rule engine, and collaborated across Compliance, Gateway, and Trust teams to enhance transaction security and fraud prevention. I worked closely with Product Managers to ensure alignment with product requirements, analyzing transaction patterns and implementing rule-based solutions to reduce fraud risk and support a seamless user experience.I led a sub-project for service deprecation and logic migration, overseeing each phase from auditing to testing and deployment, which streamlined service infrastructure and aligned with broader team objectives. Additionally, I implemented integration tests across multiple services, raising code coverage by 30% per service to improve system reliability and support quality assurance.I also ran experiments to evaluate the impact of new code versus a control group, monitoring metrics and logs to assess product effectiveness and user impact. My responsibilities included configuring backend APIs, implementing custom metrics, and setting up CI/CD pipelines with YAML, enhancing deployment efficiency and system performance tracking. This role deepened my expertise in backend development, from optimizing API functionality to creating reliable testing frameworks. My cross-team collaboration with Product Managers, QA, and compliance groups enabled me to address product requirements accurately and ensure quality standards were met across multiple teams. Through these responsibilities, I contributed directly to my client’s mission of secure and reliable transactions by supporting a proactive approach to risk management and fraud prevention.
