In my work as in life, I've always sought to evolve and take on new challenges.I was a Senior Editor for more than 12 years—helping guide SLAM Media Inc from a print-based publication to a worldwide leader in basketball media—when I decided to pivot to a completely new role of E-commerce Specialist.Now, I'm helping to build SLAM's online store—SLAM Goods—into a leading athletic fashion and lifestyle brand.I joined SLAM in 2008 and immediately began to amplify the brand's voice in the digital space by launching SLAM's official Twitter account—which now boasts over 1 million followers—and helped grow SLAM's Facebook, Instagram and YouTube properties.As editor of SLAM's website, I worked with dozens of writers and reporters to conceptualize and develop high-impact features, in addition to writing numerous features—including several cover stories—of my own.I'm an experienced feature writer in all areas of the basketball ecosystem—particularly the NBA, WNBA, college, high school and news aggregation. I have covered many live games and events—from Game 7 of the 2016 NBA Finals to sneaker launches.I'm a 2008 graduate of the University of Illinois-Urbana/Champaign, where I was a reporter and writer for The Daily Illini. I founded and edited the award-winning NBA blog, Odenized, and used Twitter and YouTube as platforms to create content and grow audience.
