Age Group / Subject: I am a Current teacher at the school. I am a Grade 7 teacher,but I also teach other grades. In Grade 7 I teach History, Technology and Natural Sciences. In Grade 6, I teach Life Skills and Physical Education/ PE. In Grade 5, I teach Physical Education/ PE. Duties: In all the subjects I teach it is my responsibility to mark and grade all assessments and books for the classes that I teach. I must also put their grades on the school system. I am also involved with coaching at the school. As classroom teacher it was my duty to make sure all the learners do all the work in the workbooks provided for them, grade all their assessments and fill in the marks/ grades on the system. Develop effective lessons as per national curriculum goals and objectives. Maintain good records administrative practices to monitor the progress of each-and-every student, and provide feedback on how to improve learning outcomes, we would give them intervention of extra classes if needed. We also had parent-teacher evenings for the parents to ask me anything about their child in a class situation or about their grades.The school is not financially very strong, they do not have interactive whiteboards to work from or projectors. They only have a whiteboard which we use to write on with whiteboard markers. Not all the learners have textbooks, some of them must share.In the classroom we have a total of between 36 – 42 students.Coaching: I coach Athletics (sprints and long jump) u10-13 and Rugby u11.

Age Group / Subjects: In my time at this school I was an Educator for Physical Education/ PE (grade 1 – 7), History and Geography (grade 4 and 6), Afrikaans First Additional Language (grade 4).All the classrooms in the school had access to interactive whiteboards to use while teaching. Duties: My duty as an Educator was to teach the lessons, mark their workbooks, grade the tests and assessments and fill in their grades on the system. I also coached sport in the school. I did the Afrikaans translation for grade 4 History and Geography papers and booklets. I helped learners with extra Afrikaans classes if they needed it. I also did the planning for Physical Education grade 6-7.Coaching: I coached the following: mini cricket U8, Athletics (sprints & shot put) U7-13, mini rugby U8, rugby U11. I also helped at times with the U9, 10 and 13 rugby.

The subjects I taught, English Home Language, Afrikaans Additional Language (second language), Mathematics, Life Skills, History and Geography.All the classrooms in the school had access to interactive whiteboards to use while teaching. Duties: I was the head of English Home Language for grade 5, I had to set up all assessments, exams and I had to do all the planning of the subject for the year. As classroom teacher it was my duty to make sure all the learners do all the work in the workbooks provided for them, grade all their assessments and fill in the marks/ grades on the system. Coaching: I coached mini cricket for the U8 group, mini athletics for the U7-9 group and senior athletics (sprints & shot put) for the U10-13 group.
