SRE at Rakuten since April, 2023 after studying Computer Science at UTokyo for six years until my Master's degree.Interested in planning and implementing feature/architecture/practices for the future of the product, and performance enhancement through quantitative analysis and all-layer engineering.■Achievements(1) Developed and implemented an architecture in which the DB load is not proportional to the traffic volume, halving the number of DB replicas (reducing annual cost by 5 million yen) while achieving 1.64x throughput and reducing asynchronous processing latency by 93%. 15.6 million yen in annual cost reduction is expected in two years with +40% YoY growth.(2) Planning, implementation, and release of an SRE AI chatbot app, empowering everyone in the product team with the performance analysis capabilities.(3) Planning, design, and implementation of a performance estimation system that radically improves the regular operations workflow for both our department and another (ongoing).(4) Reduced annual costs by 1.4 million yen while maintaining service level.(5) Reduce outsourcing costs by 360 hours per year by revamping BI tool query indexing.(6) Reduced error rate by 95% and improved request success rate from 99.8% to 99.99% through repeated quantitative parameter optimization.(7) Reduced false positive rate of alerts by 90% by introducing SLO and error budget alerts.■Strengths Finder1.
