Public Cloud Engineer #1 at Ellie Mae. Knew enough to seek help and built out a team around me. Today the Public Cloud Team manages tons of automations to guarantee security and governance of over 150 AWS accounts.

DevOps Storage Engineer responsible for automation and deployment tools for every component of the application based storage solution (Ceph). Also responsible for capacity planning, performance analysis, developing disaster recovery plans, leading efforts towards storage consolidation and identifying storage growth, while managing configurations of storage devices and software.

Administration, configuration and deployment of Yahoo!'s in house configuration management application, running on ~228K servers and growing! I also have the privilege of being the gatekeeper to Yahoo!'s out-of-band management for server and network hardware. I maintain and administer the various applications that log and grant access to hosts, filers, and switches when they are not available via the network.

I'm on a rockstar team of SAs that is responsible for over 300k servers. The SA team is responsible for the base OS, hardware and the infrastructure that ties them all together. I work with almost every property within Yahoo!

Performed on-site hardware support (both server and network hardware) in production data centers; traveled to various sites to assist with launch of new data centers. In and after 2008, when certain responsibilities were taken over by the Production team, I was responsible for documenting the processes used by Corporate Infrastructure as well as training the new team in these processes. Documented various RMA procedures for distribution to rest of my team. Started to build technical skills by shell scripting and automating various processes as well as configuring various settings in the UNIX OS.
