Ryan Yu Email and Phone Number
I have a lot of experience doing a lot of things, in and out of work.I have been in facilites for almost 10 years now. I have gained a lot of knowledge and have built many professional relationships. For example: I started as a Janitor in college. My boss realized that I was a hard worker and when we lost the contract (we were out bid) he got a job at the Toyota HQ that just opened and he got me a job there. At Toyota a learned a lot of maintainence work. I did everything the "full maintenence" workers did. It explains the situation a bit more in my resume.I broke my hip skateboarding and had to take time to heal; during that time my boss got a new job at Collin County Community College, where he highly suggested I apply, as they were taking applications for a job I was highly qualified for.I am currently still working this job but in my spare time, I am working with an artist. He is a musician in need of a videographer, editor, director, basically anything needed, production-wise, besides the music. We just shot a full video that I am editing. It has an audio track, three static DSLR performance shots, 2 moving performance shots, and a lot of B-Roll to be used as filler if needed. In 2004 I started making Halo 2 montages, which turned into a video and graphics editing obsession. I have gotten proficient in Premiere Pro and Capcut (for speed). I started on Windows Movie Maker so the transition was difficult but knowing Photoshop CS2 helped a lot.In 2008 I had a co-worker notice my digital art (hand drawn) as well as vector and photo art. He offered to have me design the DVD covers for weddings he was filming. He would send me a dump of pictures and headshots of the "important" guests and would leave me to be creative. This was the first photo freelance job I had ever gotten. For six months I did all the covers for him but he ended up learning himself and that was that.

Facilities TechnicianCollin County Community College District Foundation Jul 2022 - PresentMckinney, Texas, United StatesI am a facilities technician at the Central Collin County Community College location. I am on call with a radio to solve a number of different problems regarding the facility. I am also "on call" for any off the clock emergencies that may occur for a week at a time.I work on bathroom equipment, air handlers, miscellaneous hardware (paper towel dispensers, water fountains, etc.) as well as find contractors and parts online due to the fact that we aren't contracted. I use a CMMS software called "WEBTMA", the previous being "SchoolDude". I am required to create, edit and close work orders using this system.I unlock doors for teachers that have locked their keys in their office, as well as help them in any other way they may need. I have aired up flat tires, helped them find their car in the parking lot, as well as anything else I am approached about. I have gained professional relationships with a lot of these teachers, some of whom request that I do work for them specifically.I also help students find classrooms and instruct them on how to navigate the campus easier.A lot of issues I find I am able to figure out how to fix myself, I just make sure that it is within the rules and guidelines my superiors have set.Basically anything and everything that can be fixed or repaired, I am required to make note, fix, or repair the issue.I have the ability to go to Home Depot and use the college PO account to buy any supplies we may need. Todd Dougherty, my old boss from Toyota and USAA, called and requested me to work here with him. -
CustodianC&W Services Nov 2015 - PresentI am currently a custodian. I am responsible for cleaning the building at the end of the day as my main task, but also do small maintenance projects. I have learned to fix electric desks by replacing the parts, replace ceiling tiles with water damage, use buffing, scrubbing and other machinery to do specific tasks, replace parts on electric urinals, cut keys for filing cabinets, deal with emergencies with water leaks or overflows, and many other tasks.Loss mitigation | citi mortgagenovember 2008 – april 2010I started as a mortgage collection agent and worked my way up to be a loss mitigation specialist. I used government programs to try and put customers on payment plans and help them keep their homes. This was during the mortgage crisis and recession that happened so it was an extremely high stress job that required a lot of mental strength. Through this job I learned how helping people is extremely gratifying.State inspector | Presto lubeseptember 2006 – june 2007I attended a state mandated course to train me how to do state inspections on cars and was certified with a badge and state ID number. Along with inspections I did minor mechanical work such as changing brakes, oil changes, radiator flushes, patching tires, and changing more simple car parts, such as alternators. I was also a customer service representative and dealt with the customers from the moment they drove in until they paid.
