    This role involved the strategic management, coordination and on the ground delivery of both physiotherapy and medical services of all athletes in the Womens Irish hockey program. It involved regular international travel with the squad, management team and wider support team including meticulous planning and scheduling of international games, training sessions and recovery sessions in the run up to the most successful World Cup the country has seen in 2018. I was involved in developing recovery procedures, sleep hygiene advice sheets, antidoping training, prehab protocols and self-management strategies. I monitored closely each athletes individual external and internal loading and GPS, along with our sports scientist, during camps and chronically over a period of time. During the World Cup I was involved in daily scheduling, gathering objective markers, mobility sessions, active recovery sessions, physiotherapy treatments/ rehab, training and match cover, antidoping chaperone and meditation/ mindfulness sessions. We were ranked 16th in the World pre World Cup and finished 2nd, securing a silver medal and a new world ranking of 8th.Within my job role at SINI I also deliver services to athletes across a range of other sports including triathlon and para swimming, which I led on within SINI. These athletes compete across an Irish or GB system which has additional challenges.

    Involved the strategic management and on the ground delivery of physiotherapy services to national netball athletes based both in Glasgow and overseas by coordinating and supporting regional leads and remotely managing overseas athletes. It also involved working towards performance targets agreed with the wider support team, management team, and the governing bodies. Working closely with all members of the support team, high performance manager and management team was imperative in ensuring effective delivery of the programs. I was responsible for profiling, identifying injury risk, implementing injury prevention strategies, developing recovery strategies, rehabilitation and monitoring load as well as attending training sessions and travel to competition. Within this role I also helped develop and provide physiotherapy and medical services for the Netball Superleague program, which was in its inaugural year. This had the added challenge of budgeting, risk assessments of venues across England and Wales and managing imported athletes with limited contact time to services prior to competition. Within this time period the Scottish Thistles national netball team hit their goals of Commonwealth games qualification 2018 and finished top 3 at Netball Europe 2017. They also went onto to top their group at World Cup Qualifiers. I also worked with athletes across other sports eg. Curling, boxing, snowsports, athletics, cycling.
