S.A. Check is a science fiction, fantasy, and comic book writer who grew up on comics - heroes and villains, conflicts and cliffhangers. He read which-way books, sci-fi and fantasy series, and classic horror fiction, while earning his degree in English / Writing from Penn State University.Today he lives with his E.R. nurse wife and teen daughter in Southwestern Pennsylvania, enjoying all the small dramas that come his way. He remains active in the writing community, and has spoken at multiple venues in the Pittsburgh region. He has written multiple feature articles for Bleeding Cool Magazine, a leading periodical in the comics/entertainment genre.For the past five years, he's been a creative contributor for American Mythology Comics, and writes for their current lines, to include The Three Stooges, Pink Panther, Casper, Underdog, Rocky & Bullwinkle, Laurel & Hardy, Oggy & the Cockroaches, and the original comic series Volcanosaurus, with several new licensed and original works in development.
