I am delighted to inform that IIHMR is now IIHMR University an Act of the government. It is primarily a Research university that is focused on public health and management in health sector, policy, and program management.

IIHMR Jaipur is a pioneer organization in health management research, education and training in India and the South East Asia Region. A WHO Collaborating Centre for Distric Health Systems, IIHMR has played a critical role in policy reseach, program management and evaluation in the helth sector. The Insitutute offers a top ranking business mnagement program in hospital and health amangement (MBA Health Management, MBA Hospital Management) which accredited and approved by the AICTE. Over 1500 hosptal and health management graduates have passed out from IIHMR in the past 16 years; and they have been intrumental in tranformation of hospital and health care management in India. IIHMR has signed MoU with the Johns Hopkins University, USA to lauch prestifious MPH program in India this year at a very low cost and Hopkins quality. The degree will be offered by the Johns Hopkins University.

As Joint Director, my main role was in strategic planning and management of health communication (IEC) in the state of Rajasthan; Negotiations with the international and bilateral agencies for funding and project development in IEC; piloting and implementation of innovation; and capacity building and networking of NGO in the health sector.
