Over twenty years of experience in the field of education including teaching, curriculum design, faculty and teacher professional development, and education research. Experience leading workshops and faculty learning communities, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, working with teams on multiple projects and communicating research findings to diverse audiences through professional presentations and articles written for research and practitioner audiences.My interests include equitable teaching practices, creating classroom community in face-to-face and online courses, teaching students how to learn, active learning techniques, and promoting wellness for students and instructors.My scholarly work has appeared in peer reviewed journals such as The Journal of Adolescent & Adult Literacy, Reading Research Quarterly, The Reading Teacher, Science Scope, and Preventing School Failure. I have also presented her research at professional conferences such as the annual meetings of the American Educational Research Association and Council for Exceptional Children and the Lilly Conferences on College and University Teaching and Learning. Additionally, I have written teaching cases for the Public Education Leadership Project, a joint initiative of the Harvard Graduate School of Education and Harvard Business School.
