During the 30 years of being the Chief Financial Officer for Icon Health & Fitness the business has changed and grown from a domestic wholesale company generating $80.0M of revenue in Fiscal 1988 to an international company with multiple channels of distribution, which generates revenues in excess of $750.0M. The business includes the internal development of a Direct to Consumer segment that has grown to approximately $350M in revenue over the past 10 years as well as the start up of a highly profitable extended warranty business over the past 8 years. The Company has been an SEC, or SEC type, registrant from 1994 through 2016. Since 1995 the major shareholders of the Company have been Bain Capital/Bob Gay, former managing director of Bain Capital, Credit Suisse and company management. The Company currently employs approximately 1,000 individuals, down from its peak employment of approximately 2,300. Was also responsible for HR, IT and Risk management oversight. Last Twenty-Four months as CFO @ Icon – Managed the process to sale our Altra Shoe division to a large international public company for $135M resulting in a tax-free gain to Icon of $119M. Icon originally purchased Altra for $400K in 2012. Grew revenues from approximately $40k of domestic revenue to $50M+ of world-wide revenue in 2018 prior to the sale. Transitioned all domestic manufacturing to Asia resulting in a $40M improvement in working capital and an annual overhead savings of approximately $20M. Led the refinancing of the company’s debt structure, replacing high yield bonds with a pro-rata commercial bank deal. The refinancing saved the company $22M of annual interest expense.
