• Developing capabilities, providing expertise & leading operations in a fast-evolving unconventional gas development. Mentored five engineers, along with two technical assistants, overseeing the drilling of CSG wells in the Bowen basin. • Lead critical rig and capability upgrades to enable sumpless, directional, and Under-Balanced Drilling (UBD). Delivered horizontal-vertical in-seam intercept production pilots in appraisal area• Commissioned a new drilling unit and successfully completed shallow Extended Reach wells (3:1 ratio)• Revitalized cementing services and equipment contractors’ performances, as the contract owner, via competition and purposeful auditing strategy• Developed advanced severe mud losses management strategies including 2 & 3-stage casing cementing (Australian first), implemented Geo-steering with GR Imaging LWD including multi-disciplinary communication & decision strategy for Horizontal-Vertical in-seam intercepts.

• Advised on well productivity & artificial lift matters, providing support & expertise to international billion-dollar projects, in all phases of their development & operations cycle, collaborating with multi-disciplinary functions including reservoir, drilling & completion, petroleum, surface facilities and production engineering and facilitating advanced well performance training programs.

• Designed and executed a complex HPHT offshore exploration campaign featuring Narrow Mud Weight Window, Managed Pressure Drilling and Early Kick Detection technologies. Coordinated jack-up rig upgrade and crew training with a focus on fingerprinting practices to enable 15,000-psi, 200degC operational capabilities • Stimulated the Continuous Improvement activities on conventional gas development campaigns, overseeing the performances of 6 drilling barges operating in the Mahakam Delta to deliver fast-paced directional wells featuring anti-collision challenges• Chaired the Drilling teams budget preparation (120 wells and US$600M per annum) and controlled the tenders’ preparations, bids’ assessment and contractors’ award for key equipment & services contracts.

• Supervised onshore horizontal Under Balanced Drilling (UBD) operations in fractured basement formation with a large amount of oil reservoir appraisal activities, developed frontline HSE leadership, teams management abilities and skills in dealing with tough hole conditions & severe mud losses management.

• Application of advanced statistical methods for the propagation of dynamic parameters uncertainty through reservoir modelling to establish probabilistic production profiles and support history matching applications and development decisions.
