For twelve years I taught English grammar and creative writing before switching to the mental health field in San Antonio. There I counseled. Moving into administration, I designed and wrote recovery grants and managed recovery nonprofit programs. One high light is mentioned below : Director: of ARC for Women with Children. Two other high lights for me was working with clients using hypnosis for smoke secession and regression. Following that I founded our small company, Affairs of the Mind . During the process I incorporated the company as a nonprofit and with help set up a web site and recorded some self help CDs. When moving to New Braunfels I mostly freelanced online, writing. Another highlight: a completed historical screenplay in Nov. 2014, involving much research. I enjoy putting aspects and concepts together.

While living in San Antonio, under the company name, I saw a number of clients for various reasons that mostly had to do with addressing self image, habits, social issues, addiction and other healing.. With the exception of hypnosis my approach was diverse determined by client's needs and desire. Hypnosis became a specialty as many wanted to be regressed. Our web site often displayed a new article on health..When I moved to New Braunfels the company's services became mostly directed to online freelance writing. I occasionally see someone for smoke secession. I coauthored a several million dollar federal consolidated grant and upon its award designed and initiated the program that involved several entities, including Every Baby Can.The program was designed to provide family assessments of addicted women still raising their children. Residential support and education concerning alcohol and drugs was provided. Additional counseling was provided addressing trauma resolution , parenting and how to have fun, sober. The mothers.received job counseling and access to child support while locating jobs.Though I seldom was involved with the counseling, education provided by federal agencies when awarded that grant added to my store of helping others psychologically.

Residential treatment for men addicted to alcohol and drugs. This included assessments, education and counseling, including trauma resolution. As many of the residents were referred by the justice systems my responsibilities included interacting with those and other referral sources such as Texas Rehabilitation Commission along with managing the program and counseling.
