Main project features: The Project, financed by JICA and undertaken by the Government of Bangladesh through Dhaka Transport Coordination Authority (DTCA), involved road inventory survey in RAJUK area outside the Dhaka city.Activities performed:•Supervised and monitored road inventory survey works including road cross section, road condition, drainage condition, road safety etc.•Compiled all data and prepared final report.

Main project features: The Project, financed by GoB, undertaken by Bangladesh Railway and implemented by SMEC International, Australia in association with ACE Consultant of Bangladesh, in joint venture with Aarvee Associates of India and Pathmark Associates of Bangladesh, involved feasibility studies, detailed engineering design and tendering services for construction of 83.80km single railway track from Navaran in Jessore to Munshiganj via Satkhira.Activities performed: •Checked Geotechnical factual report.•Reviewed Geotechnical Design Report including Equivalent Soft Soil Thickness Analysis, Seismic Analysis, Settlement Analysis, Stability Analysis etc.•Reviewed Embankment Detail Design Report including 1D Settlement Calculation, Wick Drain Design and Stability Analysis.

Main project features: Worked under the combined Design Division of SMEC International Pty Ltd. Australia and ACE Consultants Ltd. Bangladesh. The Project, financed by ADB, executed by RHD Bangladesh and implemented by SMEC in association with PyungHwa Engineering of South Korea and ACE Ltd., involved feasibility study, detailed survey, investigation, study and detailed design for upgrading the national highways and Zilla roads (the Project Roads) of almost 1000 km that have significant implication to sub-regional development to four-lane highways. The Project Roads are Joydevpur-Chandra-Tangail-Hatikamrul, Faridpur-Barisal-Kuakata, Dhaka-Mawa-Bhanga, Hatikamrul-Rangpur, Khulna-Mongla, Rangpur-Teesta-Burimari, Sonamasjid-Rajshahi-Hatikamrul.Responsibilities:•Design new pavement and overlay on existing pavement of 1000km of 4 lane highway according to AASHTO Guide 1993, AustRoads, ORN 31 & IRC.•Collected IRI, road condition, road pavement inventory, Benkelman Beam Deflection, accident data and axle load data from Jamuna weigh bridge station.•Analysed Vehicle Equivalent Factor from axle load data.•Analysed weighted mean annual pavement temperature (WMAPT) from temperature and rainfall data.•Analysed and Modify Elastic Modulus of Asphaltic layer with respect to WMAPT, vehicle operating speed, aggregate size and binder type.•Checked pavement design by mechanistic design procedure using CIRCLY which is a multi-layer, linear elastic design software.•Supervised test pit on existing pavement and issue test program on different layers.•Prepared Pavement Design Report, Feasibility design report & Pavement Review Report.•Supervised Geotechnical works and issue test program•Supervised road and bridge condition survey.•Involved in road-rail interface coordination works.•Assisted International transport economist in getting rise & fall, elevation and geometric road information for economic analysis.•Prepared drainage schedules for the project roads.

Responsibilities:•Worked as a Zonal Team Leader at site.•Collected data on water supply system from various Districts in Bangladesh.•Analyzed field data reports. •Prepared detail report on site condition and location of the supply system.

Main project features:The Project, financed by JICA and undertaken by the CDA, involved detailed survey, investigation, study and detailed design of 15.2 km 4-lane coastal road and two feeder roads of 2.363 km connecting the city with the coastal road.Responsibilities:•Assisted Senior Geotechnical Engr. Shafiqul Anwar, SMEC International Pty Ltd., Australia.•Supervised drilling conducting Standard Penetration Tests (SPT) down to 40m from the existing ground level at Coastal region.•Monitored Health, Environment and Safety (HES) during field work.•Prepared and Issued Field test program and laboratory test program.•Prepared daily site diary & daily report on site activities.•Supervised laboratory tests including triaxial tests, shear box test, index classification tests, chemical test and one dimensional consolidation test.•Checked and made correction in the factual report which was prepared by contractor.•Worked in Geotechnical Interpretation Report including Equivalent Soft Soil Thickness Analysis and Seismic Analysis.•Worked in Embankment Detail Design Report including 1D Settlement Calculation, Wick Drain Design and Stability Analysis.•Worked with SLOPE/W Software for Stability Analysis.

Main project features: The Project financed by CHEVRON Bangladesh Block Twelve, Ltd., involved development of various structures in South pad, Installation of two additional drilling pads with associated infrastructure, Construction of access roads and pipelines to link the West Pad and South-South Pad, Drilling and establishment of new wells within the South Pad, West Pad, and North Pad.Responsibilities:•Worked as a Field Team Leader at site.•Took a full-day HES training and orientation which was held at the Chevron South Pad facility.•Assisted Senior Geotechnical Engr. Shafiqul Anwar, SMEC International Pty Ltd., Australia.•Supervised drilling conducting Standard Penetration Tests (SPT) down to 30m from the existing ground level at North Pad location.•Supervised drilling conducting Standard Penetration Tests (SPT) down to 35m from the existing ground level at MCPL (South Pad) location.•Supervised drilling conducting Standard Penetration Tests (SPT) down to 20m from the existing ground level at West Pad and South-South pad location.•Monitored Health, Environment and Safety (HES) during field work.•Prepared and Issued Field test program and laboratory test program.•Prepared daily site diary & daily report on site activities.

Main project features: The Project, financed by ADB and undertaken by the BBA, involved detailed survey, investigation, study and selection of suitable type and detailed design of 6.15 km long (The longest Bridge in South Asia) and 25 m wide 4-laning Padma Bridge over the River Padma to be constructed at Mawa-Jajira point, including 12 km approaches on the south side, river training works on either side, with provisions of railway line at the Centre, toll plazas, offices, recreation resorts and other utility connections, including power, gas to cross over the bridge.Responsibilities:•Assisted Geologist Engr. Nigel Ross Wightman, AQATERRA consultants Ltd., Hong Kong.•Supervised Standard Penetration Tests (SPT) down to -150m PWD, Cone Penetration Tests (CPT) down to -60m PWD, Flat Plate Dilatometer Tests (DMT) down to -130m PWD and Falling Head Permeability Tests performed by Development Consultants Ltd. and Foundation Consultants Ltd., Bangladesh.•Supervised Self Boring Internal Friction Test (SBIFT) and Gel-push Undisturbed Soil Sampling (GPS) down to -80m PWD performed by KISO-JIBAN Consultants Ltd., Japan.•Supervised High Pressure Dilatometer Tests (HPD) down to -130m PWD and Self Boring Pressure meter Tests (SBPT) down to -40m PWD performed by CAMBRIDGE INSITU Ltd., England.•Supervised Seismic Tomography and Cross-hole Testing down to -130m PWD performed by GEOTOMOGRAPHIE GmbH Ltd., Germany.•Supervised Geophysics Survey Performed by EGS (ASIA) Ltd., Hong Kong.•Prepared daily site diary & daily report on site activities.•Supervised laboratory tests including triaxial tests, shear box test, index classification tests, chemical test and one dimensional consolidation test.

Main project features: The Project, undertaken by RHD and financed by JICA, involved design and reconstruction of 40 no. of roads and 28 nos. of bridges/culverts and protection works for flood affected roads and structures. Responsibilities:•Supervised Reconstruction from different layer of roads, Carpeting, Seal Coat, R.C.C Plate Palisading, Saucer Drain, Protection Works (C.C Block), Embankment Fill works.•Supervised Construction of a Box Culvert with Approach Road.•Monitor site safety measures and prepared daily site diary & daily report on site activities.
