Shift Manager
CurrentAs a manager you are responsible for everyone within the restaurant. You must ensure that the crew are happy, working hard, and that the customers are getting a good experience. Running shifts mean that you must place crew in key positions throughout the day. Crew must be sent for breaks at appropriate times to ensure operation can continue smoothly. Managing daily cash intake: cashing up tills, ensuing that money is kept in the safe. All cash must be logged and signed for correctly to ensure there are no discrepancies. Hitting speed and customer satisfaction targets on shift – R2P below 180 and CSAT comments above 70%. Over the past year, I managed to improve my shifts average R2P times from 247 when I started to 177 (3rd place amongst other managers!). Ensuring all food safety standards and upheld – when a CFV occurred on my shift, we passed with 87%, being the only restaurant in the franchise to pass. Additionally, I must remain calm and professional in stressful circumstances and defuse tense situations. Often, situations occur with the homeless and drunk costumers causing disturbances.
