My university studies in physisc at the Università degli Studi di Torino have been focused on the optoelectronic properties of silicon, while the master thesis piezoresistive polymer nanocomposites materials with carbon nanotubes. At INRiM, my first experience involved the design and development of a multi-axial force transducer with esapode geometry. At the end, my PhD studies are centred on the realisation of a authonomous wireless sensor. The thesis has been carried out at INRiM, where I had the chance to study and fully characterize magnetostrictive materials for energy harvesting, and the GrapheneLab at IIT in Genova, where I have designed a new silicon/graphene composite as anode materials for lithium-ion batteries. The experience gained in electrochemistry is now put in use at the IIT in Milan, where I'm in charge of the realization and commissioning of a battery laboratory. In between, also an experience as a software developer in ABAP environment and a longterm collaboration as a proofreader for school textbooks of physics for high school. All these experiences have nothing in common except the desire and the ability to face new challenges, even in fields where I do not initially have theoretical knowledge, and the development of a multidisciplinary profile, to which the experiences of volunteering and associations add a strong ability to work as a team and to manage a working group. Finally, a healthy dose of serendipity and lightness allows me to face the daily challenges with the right determination and professionalism, but without running the risk of transforming the most complex situations into dramas.
