Maphumulo Bulk Water Supply Scheme - Phase 3: Water treatment plant upgrade, Construction of a new head of works, Chemical reactors, Clarifiers, Filters, 500KL clearwater reservoir, Administration & Chemical Buildings, Chlorine Room, Retaining walls, Stormwater & Sewer network upgrades, Electrical and Mechanical works.

Augmentation of Nsezi Water Treatment Plant - Richards Bay (KZN)The upgrade intends on increasing the existing works capacity of producing potable water from 205Ml/day to 260Ml/day and sets the platform for further upgrades to the works. The project involves the construction of a reinforced concrete mixing tower, 2No of 48m diameter Clarifier Flocculator tanks, 4No of Dissolved Air Floatation plant (DAF), 4No of constant rate gravity filters, a 3.5ML Chlorine contact tank, 2ML Backwash recovery tank, Sand trap tank, re-location of a loading bay and interconnecting steel pipework ranging from 800mm to 1,8m diameter.

Construction of a DN800 steel water main along Anton Lembede Street from Alexander Street (CH0) to Mahatma Gandhi Street (CH2 250), with 4No Scour valves chambers, 5No Air valve chambers, 2No Isolation valve chambers, and Installation of Cathodic Protection to tie into the existing system. Road reinstatement and marking to eThekwini specification requirements.2. eThekwini CDB Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV) upgrade.Construction of the pipe and valve supports, shutting down the CBD main feed to replace the existing 300mm Ǿ PRV with a 500mm Ǿ PRV, installation of Air valves, special fittings, and the i2O Advanced Pressure Management System (Controller & APV).
