Care for the needs of a woman with a traumatic brain injury from a car accident. Provide personal care: grooming, bathing, dressing, and oral care services. Perform intermittent catheterization, IM injections, IV/infusions, manage G and J tubes for feeding and medication delivery, rotate position to prevent sores, dress wounds, use laser, cough machine, nebulizer, suction, Hoyer lift, foot care, assist with physical therapy sessions, and perform various other treatments and services as needed.

• Ensure adherence of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) & HIPAA • Coordinate Phase II-IV clinical trials• Conduct patient care visits and procedures according to protocol • Perform recruitment activities and subject eligibility screenings• Train patients on electronic devices for assessments and diaries• Receive, Store and Dispense study medication, maintain drug accountability logs, and un-blind when required• Perform assessments of patients including: vitals, phlebotomy, lab procedures, ECGs, patient questionnaires• Report Adverse Events and Serious Adverse Events• Participate in Investigator meetings and site initiation visits• Review protocols, create source, prepare Informed Consent Forms, and develop other study-related documents• Submit IRB site documents and renewals• Act as a point of contact for IRB CROs and sponsors• Maintain regulatory binders, eCRFs, subject charts, and source documents• Work with monitors at virtual and onsite monitoring visits and performs query resolution• Coordinate office visits for trial participants, subject confirmation, and maintain subject logs• Collect, process, and ship, clinical specimens• Enter study visit data into the site’s Clinical Trials Management System. • Perform quality checks on source charts

Nurse Extern for the Cardiovascular Step Down & Telemetry Unit, occasional floating • Assist patients with activities of daily living and provide basic patient care designed to meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of the patient and chart data in Cerner. • Perform nursing interventions from clinical training that have been successfully validated by a senior RN staff member and/or the Unit's Clinical Nurse Manager.
