I worked various contract positions (mostly in London) whilst playing hockey during the European season (September - May) in an effort to sustain myself whilst playing field hockey for South Africa on route to the Athens Olympic Games, 2004.Most of my work was related to the rail infrastructure, and LUL and Tubelines in particular.

I was involved with the SA Hockey Team from 1996 until retiring after the 2004 Olympic Games. Unfortunately there was no formal support for athletes, so it required travelling to Europe every 6 months to play and work, to earn money to sustain during the local South African season.Whilst not financially lucrative, the life experiences and people that i met during this time were priceless!
