Working at Surface Chemistry Lab, I have been involved in multidisciplinary research projects with the goal of inventing new techniques for chemical imaging of surfaces. The research involved the use of linear & nonlinear optics, pulsed lasers, OPG/OPA system, computational imaging, computer vision, data analysis and machine learning.Additionally, my research efforts have involved electronics, control systems, programming and opto-electronics & mechanics. These efforts have pushed the understand of surface chemical phenomena in Self Assembled Monolyers, Silicon surfaces, Organics Semiconductors, and Electrochemistry. The key contributions include: 1) Innovation and implementation of super-resolution SFG microscopy using ground state depletion, 2) Enhancement of chemical imaging resolution and robustness by using Neural Networks to discover chemical identities of noisy spectra,3) Analysis of molecular orientation on Rubrene single crystal surfaces with SFG and RHEED.
