 Work closely with the PM HSE Manager to enable project Health and Safety process alignment. Advise the Project Manager of resource and capability requirement to fulfil the requirements of the Health and Safety Plan implementation. To lead the project team to create a Safe Culture and awareness through innovative ideas. Develop the Work Group Site Health and Safety Procedures in alignment with the Project Site Health and Safety Plan. Monitor and report the Work Group Health and Safety performance. Ensure effective Health and Safety reporting, monitoring and audit processes. Be visibly seen to provide leadership on all Health and Safety matters on the work site. Participate in the Construction pre-start meetings Attend the Health and Safety Construction kick-off Meetings. Formulate and implement “Best in Class” Health and Safety practices. Lead the awareness and education of Critical Risks within the Work Groups. Implement and Monitor the Construction Safety Risk Register. Prepare Health and Safety reports to Work Group Project Manager and the OPM HSE Manager. Mentor and provide advice to Line Management staff. Monitor the Health and Safety meetings and tool-box talk’s etc. Carry out Health and Safety Audits and report to the Work Group Project Manager and OPM HSE Manager. Lead the Incident Investigation and Reporting of all Lost Time Incidents. Implement Communication and training on Health and Safety management. Visit the site during the construction activities on a regular basis and as required. Escalate Health and Safety related issues as required. Participate to the periodical Health and Safety Management Review. Compile monthly statistics for the OPM HSE Manager for reporting and recording purposes. Stop the work operations, and intervene where unsafe work practices are occurring

.Leads all safety committee functions..Facilitates all safety committee meetings..Directly reports to executive director/administrator/risk manager..Serves as the primary contact for any insurance and government-related safety inspections.• To ensure the company’s Health and Safety Policy is implemented consistently across theorganisation.• To monitor, evaluate and review Health and Safety policy and practice, makerecommendations and implement new policies and procedures as required.• To assist in the identification of training needs for employees and develop and delivertraining as required.• To advise the Board and senior management team on the implications of current andemerging health, safety and welfare legislation, including evaluating options, makingrecommendations and generating actions plans to ensure compliance across theorganisation.• To support managers to maintain safe systems, providing specialist advice, coaching andpractical support. • To assist managers implement health and safety systems and procedures to meet specificrequirements, such as accident reporting and the Control of Substances Hazardous toHealth (COSHH) in a consistent and effective manner.• Ensure the organisation, its clients and designers comply with the Construction (Design andManagement) Regulations 2007 and supervise staff in the Health and Safety teamcommissioned to act as a CDM Co-ordinator.• To carry out audits to evaluate the effectiveness of Health and Safety systems andprocedures, and identify and implement improvements.• To ensure routine health and safety activities and checks are carried out e.g. testing ofportable electrical appliances and the review of risk assessments.• To investigate, or where appropriate, to assist others to investigate the circumstances andcauses of accidents and take necessary steps to prevent a recurrence.• Take action to mitigate the impact and likelihood of health and safety risks.
