I have a diverse role as it varies from stocking to dealing with customers. As it is a customer focused environment, it is my responsibility to organise and keep the store organised, at the same time sort out the cash and deal with any customer enquiries.

For my final masters project I worked with Lena pharmaceuticals on V500 Nanomill. This placement has improved my problem-solving skills, teamwork skills and it also gave me the confidence on working on my own, as I have to use the mill on my own to form samples for my project. Working in a professional environment has shown the real world chemistry and how much it differs from a university lab better. More health and safety rules and precision is practiced as I had to keep an eye on every detail from taking samples to measuring the temperature of samples and the milling process.

Worked at the Solo's restaurant for three years as a waiter. It was a very demanding job and required me to carefully balance my studies with my work commitments; I did that by keeping a balanced timetable. From this experience I learnt about the importance of responsibility in working environment and the quality of service is very important in the workplace.
