I'm currently a student at Aga Khan University, majoring in Human and Environmental Biology with a passion for genetics and biological research. My academic journey has been enriched by a diverse array of multidisciplinary courses, including comparative politics, climate change policy, computational research methods, social and political thought, international relations, human biology and evolution.My primary research interest lies in epigenetics, a field that explores how gene expression is regulated by external factors and environments. I'm currently working as a research assistant on a project focused on the urban poor in Karachi, which has further fueled my interest in how socio-environmental factors can influence genetic expression.In addition to my academic pursuits, I am the inaugural convenor of the Student Research Forum (SRF) at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, where I actively promote research initiatives among my peers. My short-term goal is to dive deeper into biological research and contribute to the growing body of knowledge in epigenetics while pursuing my graduate studies.Outside of academics, I have a keen interest in graphic designing and photography, which allow me to creatively express my ideas and perspectives.I am excited to connect with like-minded individuals and professionals who share my passion for genetics and biological research.
