About Muhammad Saad

With extensive experience in electrical and electronics engineering, I am passionate about designing, simulating, and testing antennas and RF systems for diverse applications. I hold a master's degree in Electrical Communication Engineering from the University of Kassel, where my thesis focused on the *Development of a Scilab Algorithm for Transforming Virtual Near-Field Antenna Data into a Far-Field Antenna Radiation Pattern*. This work involved algorithm development, data transformation, and enhancing the accuracy of far-field radiation predictions, showcasing my analytical and problem-solving skills in electromagnetic field analysis. In my role as a Working Student at Dedrone GmbH, I contributed to the design and simulation of RF components such as Wilkinson power dividers, signal jamming devices, and direction-finding antennas. I performed RF measurements using Vector Network Analyzers (VNA) and gained hands-on experience with PCB design in Altium, integrating these designs with CST Studio for RF environment simulations. Additionally, I explored software-defined radio (SDR) applications using GNU Radio. As part of the Microwave Electronics Lab at the University of Kassel, I designed and simulated various antennas, including a bi-quad antenna, microstrip patch antenna, and half-wave dipole antenna. I also investigated the impact of substrate materials on antenna parameters and prepared a comprehensive lab manual to assist students in mastering microwave engineering concepts. I thrive in collaborative and multidisciplinary environments and am always eager to learn and apply new technologies to solve complex challenges in the RF and microwave domains.
