Parsons, in a fully integrated design-build joint venture (West Corridor Construction), is providing design services for widening approximately 18 km of Highway 401 from 6 lanes to 10 to 12 lanes to facilitate high-occupancy vehicle median lanes. The expansion is from the Credit River in Mississauga to Regional Road 25 in Milton, Ontario. The scope of work includes structures, earthworks, drainage, pavements, roadside protection, new highway illumination, new advanced traffic management system, and enhanced highway signage. As Highway 401 is one of North America's busiest transportation corridors, lane/ramp/roadway closures are kept to an absolute minimum and restricted mostly to overnight hours.Saad served as the Traffic Engineer (Key Individual) leading various design teams to develop and optimize the traffic modelling and construction staging of elements such as new and rehabilitated roadways; bridge structures; culverts; and overhead sign supports. He provides design oversight for the development of staging drawings depicting temporary horizontal and vertical geometry, temporary conditions (traffic control) signage, portable variable message sign deployment, advance notification and warning signage, detour route signage, pavement markings, temporary roadside barrier systems, and delineation devices. Saad led design Traffic Working Group meetings with the Contracting Authority (CA) Team; played an active role in the QC process for submissions; provided design management for the development of temporary traffic signal (PHM-125) drawings and traffic analysis and modelling reports. Saad participated in design coordination and constructability review sessions to identify and resolve potential conflicts and in the formal quality control review process. Saad was also responsible for reviewing and responding to site queries related to construction staging or maintenance-of-traffic issues as they arose in the field.

I provided project management and leadership services for multi-disciplinary teams on high complexity linear infrastructure engineering design projects for provincial and municipal clients in order to successfully complete projects to client and corporate satisfaction.

I attained the rank of Captain as a commissioned officer in the Royal Canadian Armed Forces.General focus on adventure training of youth aged 12 - 18. This included planning and executing adventure trips and races as well as instructing / teaching skills in trekking, mountain biking, navigation, canoeing, camping and environmental stewardship.Worked in a variety of roles including Training Officer, Administration Officer and Logistics officer at the Local Unit Level for a corps of 130+ cadets.

Worked as a project engineer on high-complexity highway engineering assignments for the Ministry of Transportation (MTO).

Supported professor Ali Mekky in the training of students in all elements of Transportation Engineering.Led tutorials to review technical problems and supervised work sessions for class of 90+ students.
