CurrentAs an Aerodynamics Engineer I engage in the following tasks/activities:- Develop CFD methodologies for various aerial systems - Conduct CFD simulation on fixed wing aircraft operating in subsonic/low susbsonic & supersonic regimes- Perform CAD repair/modification prior to meshing - Generate high-quality CFD meshes of complex geometries from CAD surfaces- Perform detailed CFD to generate high fidelity aerodynamic data for entire flight envelope and mission- Execute… Show more As an Aerodynamics Engineer I engage in the following tasks/activities:- Develop CFD methodologies for various aerial systems - Conduct CFD simulation on fixed wing aircraft operating in subsonic/low susbsonic & supersonic regimes- Perform CAD repair/modification prior to meshing - Generate high-quality CFD meshes of complex geometries from CAD surfaces- Perform detailed CFD to generate high fidelity aerodynamic data for entire flight envelope and mission- Execute sweeps of CFD runs for support of aircraft design trade studies or generation of databases for stability and control, external loads or performance evaluations- Maintain aerodynamic databases for 6 DOF simulations- Automate and streamline CFD workflows- Estimate Aero-thermal loads through CFD- Corelate wind tunnel and CFD based data for validation purposes- Aerodynamic data processing & equation based aero model generation (for all phases of Flight)- Basic flight dynamics and stability assessment- Support aero vehicle design team from the conceptual phase to flight testing phase, through CFD based design- Document and present data and propose changes to colleagues and senior management- Collaborate with multiple engineering groups (loads, propulsion, flight controls) Show less
