Marketing & Strategy Executive | Social Media Manager | CopywriterFueled by creativity, curiosity and caffeine, I was still in school when the question - 'What motivates people to do the things they do?' first popped into my head. I followed that trail of thought to a degree in Applied Psychology, which to an extent, quenched my curiosity but left me feeling more lost than ever on the career front. Participating in various activities during my undergraduate years led me to realise that perhaps my interests lay in more creative pursuits. Embarking on this new path took me on a journey into the fascinating world of Marketing, Social Media and Design. My background in Psychology and solid communication skills propelled both my interest in and understanding of these fields. It was fun, exciting and also challenging. From then on, joining Creative Pitara was the natural next step. Here is where I learned all my basics about Social Media Marketing. My responsibilities included directly dealing with clients throughout the process, from the planning and strategy stage to monthly performance reports. After moving on to Red Launchers, I worked on their Marketing, Branding and Social Media strategy from scratch with the team after first learning about their Operations & Sales process, Business Architecture, Business objectives, target group and USPs. I also developed a distinct brand voice for Red Launchers that helped improve their Marketing Strategy and Brand Image. Following this, I continued to explore Brand Development & Strategy with projects such as 'Stoke a Conversation' and 'The Jackasses'. Meanwhile, I handled their day-to-day Social Media as well. It included coming up with new ideas for posting, running ad campaigns and giveaways using Meta Business Suite and overall giving their Social Media a whole new look and feel to increase engagement and loyalty while also pulling in new audiences. Although still young, my career has been vibrant in experiences and learning, and my only wish is to take that forward. On this journey, I've learned quite a bit about myself and where I want my ambitions to take me. I am a self-starter who is hard-working, creative and not afraid of challenges. While being an adaptable person helps me work well in a team, I also possess good leadership skills and am assertive about presenting my thoughts. My greatest assets are my communication skills and perseverance which enhance my problem-solving abilities. My aim currently is to grow within my field and build a solid foundation of knowledge and experience.
