Pakistan Reading Project (PRP) was a five year United States Agency for International Development (USAID) funded program intended to improve the reading skills of the primary school children through providing training to In-Service primary school teachers in government sector. A strong liaison was developed with provincial and district education departments for the implementation of project activities in 15 districts of KP. My responsibilities as In-Service Teacher Training Manager were:• Provide coordination for all in-service teacher training activities in the region including training of trainers, coordinating with master trainers, and formation of Teacher Inquiry Groups.• Work closely with the department of education at the district and provincial levels and other education authorities to effectively implement in-service training activities.• Assist the teacher training coordinator in preparing work plans and formats.• Ensure that all in-service teacher training activities are carried out according to the plan.• Monitor the activities being carried out in the region / province.• Collect teacher training and other relevant data, maintain records, and prepare reports for teacher training coordinator.• Provide feedback to respective persons or authorities on progress of in-service teacher training activities.•

• Plan, supervise and implement appropriate and high quality participatory monitoring and supporting program activities implemented by IRC and partners in collaboration with program teams, Sr. Manager Education.• Provide technical support and oversight to program teams to ensure the proper development and use of planning, implementation and management tools and systems, including (but not limited to) work plans, performance monitoring plans, input/output/outcome/progress tracking, and beneficiary tracking.• In collaboration with program teams, receive beneficiary feedback and complaints, investigating and resolving or referring them according to guidelines. Maintain appropriate and adequate tracking systems.• Support program teams to track project inputs, outputs, progress, outcomes and beneficiary numbers using standardized formats and systems.• Support program teams to establish and maintain data storage and dissemination systems.• Coordinate, organize, and monitor the implementation of project activities at the field site, to ensure that program objectives are met appropriately and on time. • Coordinate with other IRC units and act as IRC’s liaison with local government and I/NGOs officials in order to promote and support community development and/or organizational capacity building activities. • Maintain good field communications, especially in order to monitor the program quality, movement of staff; ensure the appropriate use of any assigned communications equipment.

• Design and conduct training and follow-up activities for teachers of IRC Emergency Education Program Jalozai Camp.• Facilitate teachers to promote Early Grade Reading Assessments (EGRA) for improved reading and numeracy skills of children.• To Monitor and observe classrooms and conducting feedback sessions for teachers and helping them to improve their teaching skill. • Identify training needs of teachers and closely work with training institute such as PITE, RITE, EEF and relevant Provincial, District or Agency officials in target area.• Develop training plans/outlines and manuals for teaches training on Healing classroom and Child Friendly Schools approaches and conduct TOT for other IRC staff members.• Facilitate teaches in developing lesson plans and teaching manuals.• Develop training plans, conduct trainings and develop training reports in close coordination with Sr. Field Education Manager.• Capacity building of teachers to provide quality education to school children.• Ensure healing classroom approaches during classroom activities.• To conduct Teachers Quality Index (TQIs) for the effective utilization of teaching techniques and healing classroom approaches.• To work on Inclusive Education to ensure child right irrespective of their culture, cast ethical background and differentiability. • Provide on job support to the teachers to utilize the new methodologies and approaches in effective way in the class. • Meet daily with immediate supervisor to review and submit work, and receive additional instructions.• To present IRC education program at different forums, levels provincially.

• To work in close coordination with Sr. Manager Education and other colleagues to implement education program activities at field level under the supervision of Sr. Field Officer.• To ensure that PTCs members were mobilized and adequately informed regarding their roles and responsibilities including water supply, sanitation, safe waste disposal arrangement.• To manage and supervise staff in accordance with the IRC HR Policies and procedures including staff performance management, orientations, capacity building, staff induction and conflict resolution.• To establish literacy centers and select proper curricula in line with policy of government of KPK.• Effective implementation of Healing Classroom Approach at classroom level through teachers.• Close coordination with technical staff responsible for the construction of water & sanitation structures in the schools.• To Identify and respond to problems concerning education at the field site in co-ordination with other organizations.• To ensure delivery and receipt of any goods to the site in a timely manner with adequate documentation.• To provide daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to the Field Education Manager and share school progress, updates and issues concerning the overall education program activities.• To assist Field Education Manager in implementation of managerial as well as administrative tasks as required.• To represent school at camp coordination meetings and other important events in the camp.
