Having spent primary years working for large blue chip companies working on brand & product development, marketing campaigns for global brands and my latter years in research, understanding the impact changing consumer behaviour and market trends have on global brands, I finally thought it was time to put all this experience into building and promoting the brand I’m most passionate about Pakistan via an industry that I am hugely passionate about, travel. Using market expertise my company is a platform which enables the overseas market to access Pakistan in a safe and authentic manner, showcasing the rich culture, history and natural beauty it has to offer and most importantly the warmth and hospitality of its people.Due to the prolonged negative impact on travel, in June 2020, the lifestyle collection was launched as a means of bringing a piece of Pakistan to peoples home, so they could experience the opulence and beauty of its rich colours. The collection comprises of home fragrances & home products made in collaboration with other entrepreneurs. Due to the success of the launch in August 2023, I rebranded Xperience Pakistan Lifestyle to Sikhana, to ensure the brand plays a role to change perceptions about cultures misrepresented by the mainstream media beyond Pakistan. Xperience Pakistan is a not just a business venture for me but it’s a patriotic one, my primary focus is to put Pakistan on the bucket list of the international traveller, to change perceptions that the world has about Pakistan via the varied experiences we offer eg. Yoga, Food Tours, Golfing etc. To give back to the communities I live in the UK & Pakistan through job creation with a particular focus on women and the youth and to educate overseas Pakistani's & Non Pakistani's on the what Pakistan is really about. I work hard with the locals adding local knowledge to take you to places that only a local would know, giving you an insight of the true Pakistan that I know and love.My ultimate goal is for all my guests to leave Pakistan and become brand ambassadors of Pakistan.I work on local Community projects in the UK & Pakistan, inspiring others on how through action and active engaging projects we can make a difference to the communities we live in. Sometimes it’s about donating our time which the communities need over money. I am also passionate about cultural diversity not just in the workforce but translating what this should mean for the lifestyle retail landscape from a product implementation perspective.

Managing DirectorNlighten Minds Ltd May 2018 - PresentAs an owner of a business the role involves wearing many hats, from accountant, to sales, marketing & graphics. Not only did I develop the packages, website & branding for the travel arm but when covid struck I had to quickly adapt & launch a new business arm to keep me afloat & alive. This involved market research to understand industry and consumer trends, applications for grants & loans, product proposition development, product development, market testing, product sourcing, rebuilding a website. As a key focus of mine is also to give back to the youth, at the start of January 2020, I developed and delivered two virtual work experiences for Uxbridge College, one with their Fashion students & one with their Packaging Students. The placement involved giving them a real life project in which they had a week to deliver it, with a mid week catch up to see how they were progressing. This enable them to develop their skills to translate & interpret a client design brief, develop presentational skills & working as part of a team, as this was the first time many were involved in a group project. The purpose of these projects is to showcase and educate them about Pakistan in a creative manner & for me to give back and help develop their confidence, communication & presentation skills, core competencies that I pride myself on. I also actively work with local schools & cricket clubs to create events which engage the whole community to showcase the best of what Pakistan has to offer.During covid, I launched a collection of luxury home fragrances, through which I educate people about Pakistan. Th scents are inspired by Pakistan but I make them in my kitchen, sourcing from UK businesses. I thought if I can’t take you to Pakistan, I would bring it to your homes. This brand diversification was developed for an income stream and to keep the brand alive and Pakistan top of mind as a holiday destination. I’m currently selling these online and via pop ups in John Lewis.

Youth Brands Brand ManagerThe Coca-Cola Company Feb 2003 - Feb 2005Hammersmith, LondonWhilst working at Coke the two brands I was responsible for were Fanta & Dr Pepper.FANTA• Launched Apple Splash Low Sugar, from flavour development through to its communication programme which comprised of PR, Sampling & Outdoor press. The variant delivered an incremental volume of 60% on the brand, slowing the decline the brand faced due to the media focus on obesity. The communication programme delivered awareness levels of 40% which have been the highest of any Fanta variant launch..• Developed & delivered the Fanta & Coke Halloween programme comprising of innovative ‘Glow in the dark’ labels. This delivered an incremental sales volume of 85% on Fanta Orange and 14% for Fanta TM, significant growth given that the CSD Market was in declines by 6.8%. The programme was also supported with outdoor media in supermarkets.• Developed & Delivered the Fanta Frozen proposition, comprising of flavour development, POS & packaging development in tight & sometimes unrealistic deadlines through the use of resources at an European level.• Delivered the on pack promotions ‘Destination Fantastic’ & ‘Digital Cameras’, this involved the development of the pack graphics, POS, website, TV advert & the radio promotional campaign.DR PEPPER• Developed & delivered the MTV Punk’d sponsorship, this programme comprised of,o Sponsor bumpers announcing the start of the programme,o Sponsor bumpers of the programmeo On pack competition for target audience to take part in promotion & appear on TVo 4 x 30” commercials communicating the promotiono Promotional websiteo Development of 60” commercial scripts for competition winners At the end of this programme all Dr Pepper brand KBI’s such as favourite brand, brand like me were significantly up.
