CreditPer (CP) is a shariah-compliant digital lending platform that provides credit solutions for low-income individuals and MSMEs, through a mobile app, using an AI-driven credit scoring platform. My responsibilities include:• Designing innovative lending programs for SMEs • Periodic review of business strategy• Financial Modeling and Unit Economics• Preparation of investor pitch deck and loan/funding proposals• Market research and competitive analysis• Analysis of customer lending data to identify trends• Development of an AI-based credit decision system• Liaison with multiple departments for product pricing, loan portfolio quality, monitoring performance, improving customer delivery and strategy• Responsible for the product roadmap and executing product strategy including planning, delivery, communication, and process optimization • Review of the portfolio to avoid risk concentration in a sector or product

AGAHE is a lending platform for the MSME segment, where low-income groups are extended credit for entrepreneurial activities, providing them with the opportunity to generate income and improve their livelihood. I managed a team of seven officers and was tasked to oversee the risk function. Other tasks include:• Credit analysis of lending portfolio• Review of lending strategy to mitigate risks.• New product development and identification of client's financing needs. • Capacity building of team members/developing their understanding of the institutional risk framework including strategy, policy, and procedures.• Develop risk assessment tools to identify inherent risks in processes/systems, counter the possibility of fraud risk, and ensure portfolio quality.• Engage with customers to refine the lending process and procedures• Economic analysis of various sectors of the economy.• Implementation of regulatory framework and requirement as per FATF regulations.

Identify and remove constraints within the market systems through co-investments in startup/early growth stage enterprises with the ability and leverage to trigger lasting systemic change that creates broad-based, sustainable pro-poor growth. Other tasks include:• Identify factors that help SME’s become competitive i.e., value chain development, technical skill development, access to foreign markets & access to finance• Perform economic analyses of key sectors of the economy• Assess technical, financial and economic feasibility of potential investments (Financial Modelling and Capital Budgeting)• Conduct primary and secondary research to gauge the impact of partnership on the specific sector• Promote financial inclusion by identifying opportunities for digital financial services by leveraging technology

Responsible for managing a diversified portfolio of over PKR 10 Billion. The portfolio consists of leading corporate clients of Pakistan in Sugar, Textile and Power Sector. Recommending appropriate credit facilities in line with Bank credit policy to maximize earnings while containing risks to acceptable levels. Other tasks include:• Project Financing (CAPEX Investment/Capital Budgeting)• Analysis of financial statements & preparation of credit application• Use financial models to forecast (Financial Modeling/Business Valuation)• Prepare investment proposals, feasibility presentations & information memorandums (Financial Due Diligence)• Credit Risk Analysis and review of credit covenants at annual review• Develop and review Client Risk Rating models

I was placed under Transaction Support in the Corporate Finance department and was responsible for carrying out financial due diligence of clients. Reviewing client’s strategy and identifying areas of poor performance were some of my responsibilities. In addition, I also carried out market due diligence which required me to research the market. It involved identify industry related markets risks, value-creating opportunities and writing up a market feasibility report based on that reseach.
