Learning and Development was a career path I fell into by chance, but the moment I did, I knew I’d found my calling. My first full time role was in a call centre and then I was quickly promoted into leadership positions, from complaints handling to operations. I excelled in each of my positions and had a knack for turning around underperforming teams and functions. It later become clear to me that the reason for my success did not lie in my own abilities, but in my belief in the teams I led, and in my passion to see them succeed. Training, coaching and equipping others was something that came naturally to me, it was the part of my role that brought be the most joy and I am so fortunate that I have been able to do just that, day in day out for the past 10 years. As a Learning & Development Manager, I’ve been involved in many strategic L&D projects that have improved employee engagement and learning outcomes. Highlights include:🔹 Led key L&D digital transformation projects using Waterfall and Agile methodology to transition to virtual classrooms and micro-learning for blended learning journeys. 🔹 Spearheaded Learning Plan to train all new joiners (270 staff) in newly-launched Centres of Excellence.
