Today:I began working with Pakistan's first women-led, women-first FinTech business, Oraan, in February 2022 as its Content Lead.I have been the program's originator and host on CityFM89 in Pakistan since December 2018. In less than a year, my once-weekly, two-hour show expanded to two days, with the scheduling changed to reflect the show's popularity and demand. On "Full Disclosure," we talk about international news, Pakistan, pop culture, culture, and music. We also promise to emphasise topics in broadcasts that are significant to our audience, like issues with human rights and issues with mental health.wBefore:I was a member of the launching group of writers and editors for Arab News Pakistan and served as its Offbeat Correspondent. I wrote articles and produced, wrote and reported videos on human interest topics such as culture, pop culture, lifestyle, socio-political issues, and stories that were impactful in Pakistan and had global interest.As a freelance writer, I have written OP-EDs, satire, and personal essays to many publications based in Pakistan.My career in story-telling and editing began under the Saif Publications umbrella at Hello! Pakistan and Grazia Pakistan. I joined Hello! as an editorial intern and left as their features editor. I was part of the launching team of Grazia Pakistan as a contributing editor. I conceptualized and wrote two original columns covering love, life, and the digital age called 'Modern Love,' and 'Modern Life.'My work has been in Arab News, Arab News Pakistan, Digital 50-50, VICE Asia, Hello! Pakistan, Hello! India, Grazia Pakistan, The News, Sunday Magazine and Weekend Magazine.
