Promoted to new strategic role encompassing full company product and services portfolio. Focused on developing deep market and customer insights, building KOL relations, increasing the acceptance of the company’s technology and supporting key marketing initiatives targeting the gene therapy, vaccines and drug delivery sectors. Key achievements:* Produced deep market analysis on Contract Development and Manufacturing Organisations (CDMOs) focused on Europe and North America, including extensive business critical insights and prioritization of business development opportunities to guide sales and marketing campaigns;* Produced comprehensive review of the competitive landscape and market trends, including service and technology competitors;* Key stakeholder with Marketing/Communications team to develop and sign-off marketing campaigns and materials across digital and offline channels to grow the company into new market niches, including establishment of specific objectives and KPIs;* Delivered company-wide Q&A and scripts for customer-facing engagements to support successful communication of company value proposition;* Developing strategy to strengthen regulatory acceptance, including strategic collaborations with customers to publish technology comparison studies and case studies; and building relationships with key stakeholders to establish guidelines for gene therapy, vaccine and drug delivery analysis.

Promoted to new role to grow strategic collaborations to drive demand creation and identify future product development needs, while continuing to manage global Applications Specialists team. Key achievements:* Won and drove delivery of two UK VaxHub grants for industry-academic-government collaboration on advanced analytics for vaccine development with University College London and UK National Physics Laboratory; * Secured and cultivated partnerships, including contract and pricing negotiation, with world-leading and business critical sites, including with the UK National Physical Laboratory; the Francis Crick Institute, London; and the TESTA Centre, Uppsala;* Represented the company in numerous external events, including participating in panel discussions with regulators, industry peers and academics, delivering webinars to global audiences, and creation of media materials.

Promoted to head new global Applications Specialists team. Key achievements:* Built and line-managed new team of five Application Specialists across four countries, including recruitment, establishment of new team processes, objective setting, performance reviews, pastoral support and training;* Team helped deliver 400% year-on-year MiniTEM system sales increase in 2020;* Led cross-functional Task Force team (across Product Owners, Software Developers, R&D, Sales, Quality and Delivery teams) for delivering successful client proof-of-concept projects;* Identified customer insights critical to hardware and software product development, including AI application in gene therapy and vaccine product image analysis.

Supported the full product sales cycle and product development of the MiniTEM system, a compact electron microscope with proprietary AI image analysis software. Key achievements:* Drove 100% of system sales and the biggest ever number of customer demos in a financial year;* Delivered original business critical insights, including new customer segmentation analysis;* Established customer training products, including pricing models, and developed related educational materials, including targeting the gene therapy sector.

I was part of the analysis team in the protein characterisation group working on refining and optmimising chromatography methods of an early phase target. The methods used were primarily Reverse Phase Chromatography (RPC), Size Exclusion Chromatography (SEC), IonExchange Chromatography (IEC) with the results analysed and processed with Agilent Chemstation.

I worked in the group of David Drew on membrane protein expression and purification in yeast (Saccharomyces Cerevisiae) and E.coli. My research also included radiolabelled transport assays of membrane proteins in liposomes, tryptophan quenching of glucose transporters, LCP crystallization, I also worked with confocal microscopy and set up mammalian tissue culture facility.

I worked in the group of Dr. Da-Neng Wang on human membrane protein expression, purification and crystallisation (transporters and GPCRs).
