Hi! My name is Sabdy and I am a freshman at the University of Nevada Las Vegas! I am incredibly passionate about the lives of Latinx youth in this country. As the child of Guatemalan immigrants, growing up in this country has not been easy. Educational inequalities, discrimination and financial insecurities are just some of the many obstacles that we have had to fight through. For that reason, I aspire a job in public policy to give back to the community that raised me. I am deeply committed to promoting inclusivity and representation and eager to contribute meaningful change to the community. In the words of inspiring American song-writer Lin Manuel Miranda, I have a "sueñito" or a little dream, of a world full of strong leaders who look like me.
