About Sabelyn Thorpe

I am a full-stack software engineer with experience in JavaScript, TypeScript, NodeJS, ReactJS, Redux, express, Google Firebase, and C# / .NET. I have a real passion for coding and I'm never satisfied with what I already know. I'm always on the lookout for the next valuable technology to learn and new ways to improve the efficiency, readability, and usability of the code I write. I have a strong preference (almost a necessity) for remote work, but I have always been a good communicator and have no difficulty doing so over voice, video, or plain text mediums. I would love to work in a close-knit engineering team with other creative and driven coders ready to both teach and learn from one another. I also consider myself a subject-matter expert on accessible web and application development in a world that is (slowly) becoming more aware of those of us with uncommon challenges and special needs.As for a bit of a personal touch, I enjoy and have studied music and vocal performance, and while I am no longer able to play any but a few games specifically tailored to blind players, gaming and game development has been an interest of mine for decades. Oh, and I'm a huge fantasy nerd, complete with a few D&D characters and a love of elves.

As the back end developer of a mobile social networking app, I was responsible for designing, building, and integrating external services such as Google Firebase and a chat platform.
