Sabina began taking piano after hearing a family friend perform Für Elise. By 16, she was teaching privately and, after working with a wide range of students, decided to learn more about Music Therapy- a field that uses music to achieve musical and non-musical goals.With the realization that her favorite moments were moments where she was creating songs for or with her clients, Sabina decided to attend Berklee College of Music for songwriting. That same year, two of her original compositions were selected for A Moment of Clarity – a 2012 documentary that tells the story of an emerging painter and provides insight into the world of bipolar disorder and the creative mind. In January of 2015, Sabina released Sea of Paper – an album that best illustrates her love for lyrics and her newest explorations in playing with a full band and arranging for strings.After working many years as a board-certified music therapist primarily in public schools, as a private contractor, and most recently at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, AL, Sabina has decided to go back to her roots in teaching, and utilizes her music therapy and songwriting background in primarily one-on-one settings.
