Sabine Sharp engages critical approaches to pedagogy, technology, and culture, with a focus on teaching and learning as tools for building better futures. They have research and teaching experience in English literature, film studies, cultural studies, and critical theory. Their research explores what insights speculative fiction may offer feminist, queer, and trans studies. In their current role, they develop open and accessible resources for teaching and learning in higher education contexts, deliver training on study skills and approaches to learning, and collaborate with an amazing team to support staff and students in navigating present and future technological and pedagogical challenges. Alongside this role, they are co-editing The Routledge Handbook of Trans Literature (April 2024) and The Handbook of Transgender Science Fiction (late 2024), producing new research on trans-authored speculative fictions, and contributing to conversations on gender-expansive futures in their community.
