Over the Moon Weddings creates and executes full-service weddings.Based in Amsterdam, Over the Moon Weddings is specialised in weddings in the Netherlands with an extensive network of high quality vendors and venues.

As a Buyer, I am responsible for maintaining relationships with our existing suppliers to ensure that they deliver the highest quality products at the best price for the shortest lead time possible. As such I am responsible for negotiating prices for each season with each of the suppliers. Based on the prices agreed upon, I optimize margin across suppliers. I am also responsible to continuously remain up to date on the supplier ecosystem and extending our supplier network when needed. Additionally, I have a key role in maintaining stock levels and ensuring that stock levels remain within a certain margin (to minimize costs). The responsibility is two-fold: (a) to send out purchase orders against the best estimate forecast before a season; (b) to adjust stock levels where possible during the season (eg. by working together with marketing and/or retail to push certain SKUs). Finally, I form the key link between the design team and the supply chain team, providing a business perspective on design choices and at the same time being able to understand the design needs of the collection.
