My main interest, connected to my Studies Philosophy, is the mind, mindfulness and consciousness. During my studies I gained experience as a volunteer and professionally, organising debates, philosophical events, lectures, presentations and symposia. I was active in happyChaos and the StadsSpelen, getting to understand how the world works of organisations, companies, boards, sponsoring and marketing. Being employed at the ISVW (International School of Philosophy) and the NGC (Nederlands Gespreks Centrum) I gained more experience organising events. Besides this I studied to be a philosophical consultant: helping people to work on their story - a philosophical appoach to mental problems. In addition to this I was trained to be an EMDR therapist.I do projects on philosophy with kids, give trainings and write books about it. I worked together with philosopher Maaike Merckens Bekkers for over ten years under the name of WonderWhy. Maaike and I still have a lot of projects going on together, such as teaching at the UPvA and organising Who's Right each year, events on Human Rights. In 2015 I finished my book, My ego en I, or Mijn ego en ik in Dutch, and it is published by AW Bruna (LeV). It is a philosophical and experiential quest for the "I".Two years later publisher Lemniscaat published my writings about experiences in primary schools philosophising with children, coming from various cultural backgrounds: the non-fiction book Kinderlogica, which translates as Childrens Logic. On that subject I've published two books for educational use in schools (see books) and four Onwijs Grote Filosofie Doeboeken, which are books for kids full of philosophy and puzzles. Furthermore, philosophical books consisting of short chapters with philosophical questions to start the conversation with kids are: Philo & Sophia (6+) and De Zoon van de Gazelle (11+) I consider my specialties to be: - To philosophize- To experience the feeling of wonder - To explain difficult things in an easy way- To host dialogues and especially philosophical conversations- To create programs on a certain topic using the method of philosophy for kids- To be a very relaxed person- Not to judge - To understand other people's point of view- To, when people tell me their personal stories, truly listen and ask the right questions- To write things down in bloggy style or at least easy to read (read my blogs on the ongoing refugee-crisis for Walk of Shame, and my psychological blogs on my website www.sabinewassenberg.com).
