How many people do you know who were born weighing only 2 pounds? 🙋🏻‍♀️ If we connect, you can say at least one. The deal was, in order to go home, I had to weigh 4 pounds. I’m a homebody so I’m proud to say this only took 6 weeks! That was my first accomplishment ever - graduating from Boston Children’s NICU. Like many, I went on to graduate preschool, high school, and college. There were even some pretty great athletic feats in there too! (2008 Paralympian). Without a doubt, my first accomplishment was my greatest accomplishment. Once you live when you were suppose to die, had ever odd stacked against you, not much beats that. While I might not remember the fight it took to graduate the NICU (thankfully!), that fight still lives inside of me. This rings true in all areas of my life - both professionally and personally. I’m not one to give up. I never know, my life might depend on that fight again.
