As legal advocacy officer I have established partnerships and a referral network with top & mid tier commercial law firms, criminal law firms, workers compensation firms, community legal centres, and human rights organisations all across Australia. I worked with these firms to help provide pro bono legal support and advocacy to victims of Islamophobia.As legal advocacy officer I have managed my own matters and developed a referral process tailored to the needs of the individual client. I frequently liaise with clients, law firms, and support personal when conducting meetings and referrals. I drafted a submission to the Australian Parliament regarding the proposed Counter-Terrorism Legislation Amendment (Prohibited Hate Symbols and Other Measures) Bill 2023

As part of my internship I had the opportunity to interview clients, coordinate a client advice night, draft correspondence, and assist with legal research into tenancy and migration law.
