I remember lying on the gymnasium floor in elementary school looking up at the trusses and wondering how they got there. From that moment, I knew I would be in construction.Before earning my bachelor’s degree in construction management, I interned with a contractor led engineer-procure-construct (EPC) firm. Since then, I’ve been implementing some variation of EPC, predominantly in the power industry.For more than 25 years, I’ve been involved in just about every aspect of a project, from up-front development and financing through permitting, engineering and procurement, and then construction completion and project close-out. I have the unique perspective of having worked for a construction led, direct hire EPC contractor; an owner/operator; and now an EPC firm self-performing engineering, procurement and construction as well as most support services necessary to successfully develop and execute projects. I currently have the privilege of leading a team of experienced EPC project managers who themselves lead cross-functional teams of professionals executing projects across the transmission and distribution industry, both domestically and internationally.At Burns & McDonnell, we take great pride in making our clients successful.
