Sabrina David is an IYTA trained Hatha yoga teacher, a Ki-Atsu Institute trained Ashtanga yoga teacher and a Zenergy Yoga trained Children’s yoga teacher. In addition to holding certification to teach yoga, Sabrina is also a Registered Nurse and a Mental Health Nurse. She works with youth, adults and older adults by combining her skills and expertise in counselling, arts therapies, general health planning and yoga instruction to work alongside each person to attain their goals. Sabrina has been very fortunate to have been born into a family of yoga instructors and has been practicing yoga (postures, breath work and meditation) since early childhood, so yoga to her is a way of life. She lives it, breathes it, practices it and speaks it. Sabrina teaches yoga to groups as well as one-on-one and is passionate about making yoga accessible to all. Sabrina worked for many years in remote parts of the Kimberley region and in developing countries such as Vanuatu and Vietnam, in teaching, nursing, counselling, volunteering and program development roles. She is experienced in working with remote indigenous communities, multi-cultural communities, youth at risk and displaced populations. This has allowed her to refine her skills in meeting the needs of each person as an individual as well as building strong community ties, and to guide people on their journey back to wellness by incorporating physical, emotional, mental, social and spiritual needs. During a session with Sabrina, she takes a whole of person approach following a bio-psycho-social model of care. Whether it be through yoga practices, trauma informed somatic and mindfulness-based counselling practices, focused psychological strategies, expressive and creative therapies or a combination of these, each session aims to reconnect and feel empowered to live life to the fullest.
