Detail-oriented team player with 7 years of experience in Juvenile Justice, particularly geared towards rehabilitation and prevention through building positive supports for teens in the juvenile court system. I was a Youth Specialist in the Ottawa County Juvenile Detention Center for nearly 5 years, when I was promoted to Group Leader, which I've loved for the past 2+ years. I've gained experience in designing and leading skill-building groups for juveniles in a secure juvenile detention center. For 7 years, I've been Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certified. As a Group Leader, I've had the opportunity to be a community service coordinator and supervisor, "Family Engagement Night" event planner and team member, help develop two new treatment and family support programs, and gain 2 years of experience in being certified in and leading Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT) groups, case management skills, and GPS tether, home contract, and surveillance experience.
