My research seeks to make existing resource management systems more resilient to climate change, by integrating academic and indigenous traditional knowledge with current management practice, in the setting of the Yukon River basin.

Working for MIT on the Roosevelt Project in the New Mexico case study, conducting research on how the closure of coal power plants and the growth of renewable and clean fossil (e.g., gas with carbon capture and storage) energy interact and impact energy system configuration, costs, employment opportunities, and public revenues, with a focus on the indigenous and rural groups impacted by the transition and the potential energy pathways that they, and other New Mexicans, can implement to overcome the changing energy paradigm.

I develop engaging and effective 50-minute lesson plans for four different classes in this remote learning environment. My class levels ranges from 5th – 10th grade, and my classes intermittently take place between 8 am – 3 pm. I assign, grade and asses content understanding via weekly and daily homework, and monthly quizzes. I expand my student's aforementioned knowledge base with involved projects, and by-topic lab assignments for my AP Physics classes. I am teaching my AP Physics classes with the goal of having all of my students receive 5’s on the AP Exam.

As a laboratory assistant, I performed visual inspections, tensile tests, weight of zinc tests, copper-sulfate dip tests, fluorescent dye penetrant inspections, and hydrogen content analysis on suspension bridge wire samples. I used Excel to produce stress-strain curves from testing data and using tabulated data, found mechanical properties of wire samples for sample reports. Worked in LaTeX to compile, format and review full project data report. And I machined and assembled parts for laboratory infrastructure and performed necessary maintenance tasks.

This was the beginning of a three term project aimed at designing, developing and testing a novel 3D Concrete Printer Head that could seamlessly be integrated into industry once fully and completely developed and patented. In the first summer I worked on this project, the goal was to create and test a proof of concept prototype, which my other co-lead researcher and I were able to do underbudget.

• Assisted both the design and engineering teams with their various residential housing projects.• Assisted the design team by creating blueprints and elevations using AutoCAD Architect software and creating 3D models on Chief Architect from said elevation and blueprints.• Accompanied engineering team to speak with contractors, building inspectors and other parties involved in the building of their housing projects and learned about the different roles and responsibilities of each party. An addition to learning about structural integrity; how to maintain it for various housing types and how structural integrity is affected by the environment (i.e. wind speeds, precipitation, and geology of site).
