Made a certification program to ensure all the Smart Components coming in from third party companies were in working order before being released. Not only did this ensure those components were working, but also confirmed that they would not break anything connected to them. The program was written in Go which I hadnt used before my time at Hayward but I picked it up pretty quickly. It was decided that the User Interface would be on a webserver. So I made the HTML for the Certification page, Reports page, and Admin Tools page. I also Dynamically wrote HTML with Javascript for issues such as a dynamically building a tree of certification contents.The biggest learning experience for me was setting up a websocket between Go and JS to communicate in real time whether a test passed or not, and then display it on the page without refreshing. This story was very challenging but also very interesting and enjoyable.
