I am passionate about animals, as much as I am passionate about chemistry. I have studied chemistry for the past 8 years and did my fair share of internships related to the field. I went to University of Norwich for an internship during my course of study in Singapore Polytechnic, and at the same time, did my final year project in Nanyang Technological University (NTU). During my undergraduate studies in NTU, I went to University of Edinburgh for an exchange program, undertaking a research study on peatbogs. During the the same course period, I did my internship at GlaxoSmithKline for 5 months as a Technical Development Chemist. I went on to pursue my Master's in Forensic Science (Chemistry) in the University of Strathclyde and did an internal placement project on the detection of methamphetamines and its metabolites on the surfaces of hair using GC-MS, TOF-SIMS and presumptive tests. With all the skills gathered over these years, I am confident in the usage of several analytical instruments and not afraid to learn more to increase my knowledge in the Chemistry field.Not only that, I am equipped with excellent interpersonal skills from the years of working as a part-timer in the food and beverage industry. Communication is a big part of the working industry as it is a way of expressing yourself to others and vice versa. I have an eye for detail, great organisation skills and leadership skills.
