Peer mentored university freshmen students.• Mentored 60 to 70 freshmen students by meeting each individual throughout the semester and acting as a trusted coach providing continued positive peer support to help students transition to Texas State University socially and academically.• Organized and met with each individual mentee and counseled them on how to make their freshmen year more successful. • Logged each meeting interaction into the Texas State University student access database.• Assisted assigned professors in US1100 freshmen classes by giving presentations to the class, taking attendance, making announcements, and providing feedback to faculty based on interactions with mentees.• Collaborated with fellow PACE Peer Mentor team each week in order to plan social and academic events for incoming freshmen. Discussed paths to implement continuous improvement in team’s process and work ethic in order to be more effective in interactions with mentees.

Mentored less experienced lifeguards by initiating and coaching them resulting in several candidates identified to be promoted to Head Guard. Supervised lifeguards and maintained the pool area safe and orderly.

Applied and established pool rules in a fast-paced environment to ensure a safe environment for guests by actively supervising each section of the pool and communicating to patrons when they were unsure about safety rules resulting in a continuous, secure environment for children and adult swimmers.
